Pet Radiographs

Our commitment to providing radiology services at Northmont Animal Clinic stems from our belief that radiography is a crucial diagnostic tool in veterinary care.

Pet Radiographs

Radiographs, also known as X-rays, allow us to view inside your pet’s body and show details that are not visible from the outside. Additionally, X-rays are completely painless, safe, and noninvasive. Because radiography uses a very low dose of radiation, even young and pregnant animals can have X-rays taken.

Radiographs allow us to assess the size, shape, and location of many different animal organs as well as the condition of the bones. Radiographs allow us to spot changes in organ size caused by diseases like kidney, heart, or liver illness. Some medical diseases, such as intestinal blockage or cancer, can also change or distort the form and location of organs.
